Folsom put on a display when they faced Granite Bay last Friday. The Bulldogs marked an amazing nine touchdowns, five in the air and four on the ground, on their way to a 63-0 shutout victory.
After marking only one touchdown in the first quarter, Folsom put up 21 points in the second, leading to a 28-0 halftime lead. A five-touchdown second half kept the Bulldogs rolling en route to an impressive win.
Senior Jake Browning led Folsom, completing 14-of-22 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns. Josiah Deguara, Browning’s favorite target, caught nine passes for 219 yards and four scores.
On the ground, the four rushing touchdowns came from four different players. Junior Tre Green was the most successful backs, gaining 51 yards and one of the touchdowns on five carries.
Folsom’s incredible defense was led by Bailey Laolagi, nine tackles and two assists, and Sam Whittingham, four tackles and seven assists. The defense forced and recovered two fumbles.
At 5-0, Folsom continues to move up the rankings. The Bulldogs currently rank 12th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings and 4th in California. Folsom has scored at least 49 points in each game and never let up more than 13.
